Here's a tasty and quite satisfying Merlot, which offers black plum, black cherries and chocolate, vanilla and sweet spice notes - very plush and ripe on the nose. The palate has an earthy quality; flavours of dusty plums and cherry are layered with a good dose of cocoa. It still has some good grip on the finish and bittersweet chocolate flavours linger.
Pair with a wheel of Camembert and crusty bread, grilled meats or hearty mushroom pastas.
